Well, the Nutcracker madness has finally ended. Whew! I can now get back to my normal life. But, what am I going to do with all my free time now? Huh. And now a few observations:
~Male dancers have the best asses EVER. Seriously. And I LOVE that they pretty much always wear those tight things. Very nice.
~Not all male dancers are gay. However, when one is having is stage make-up applied by another dancer straddling his lap....that might be hinting at a few things.
~This may be a very long and very busy time, but I would not trade it for anything. It's so much fun. I can't wait for it to start up next year!
~I don't have to wear my fake hairpiece any more! Yay! It may have looked cool, but it was a pain in my ass with all the bobby pins digging into my scalp. Ugh.
~We didn't really pull many pranks this year to induct the newbies. That may have to be remidied for next year.
~I did purchase the DVD, so for those of you that were interested in seeing all the fun stuff I do, I might then upload it after I get it for you to view.
~The company also does a show in the spring. This year it is Hansel and Gretel. All the adults got asked back EXCEPT ME. Excuse me? Am I invisible or something? And the two new girls have only been dancing for three years. 16 years here! Hello? WTF is going on? Is it me? Or is that just rude? I mean, really.
~The guy who does the part of the Clown Doll and Mouse King is really cute and really nice. And all the little party girls have crushes on him. It's so cute. (I suppose I should confess that I do, too. Hehe.) But, he's moving to Seattle now. Hopefully, he'll be back next year. He says he is, but you never know. But I got a hug when he left! Ha! :-D
~The guy who played the Cavalier (the dude who rules over the Land of Sweets with the Sugar Plum Fairy) is Peter Williams twin. He has to be. Seriously. He looks so much like him, it's spooky. We were calling him Apophis and then plotting out The Stargate Nutcracker for next year. Hehe. (Sadly, this guy is not on the DVD. Those 2 parts are played by professionals and they taped the weekend before with another couple. Who were much much better in my, well everyone's, opinion).
~My boyfriend brought me roses! Yay!! :-) One dozen red long stemmed, to be precise. Hehe.
And I'm like so way behind on my flist it's not funny. I've had a few moments to read over some things, but not much time to comment. I promise I will start communicating this week. Really. And I can now get caught back up with all things cyber as well as the real world. I have felt so out of touch it's been crazy. Every night when I would check my e-mails, I'd have like 50 waiting. Gah! Too much!! Overload!! :-D But things are quiet once more and all will be well.
Managed to get some online Christmas shopping done. Created a custom messenger bag for the boyfriend. He needs a new one to lug back and forth to work. He has an Eddie Bauer one right now, but they are sold out of the kind that he has. So I customized a Timbuk2 bag for him. Pretty nice, if I say so myself. Only thing left, really, is to go to the little store in town for my brother. See if they have any cool beer stuff for him. Also planning on putting up the tree and holiday lights around the balcony tonight. Should probably also clean some, too. :-)
Wow, that's a really long entry. I think I'll go back and put some cuts in. OK. Later!
