I think the data recovery thing is working!! The program is finding a shitload of stuff. Including most of my music files so far. It's only done 9 GB of 50. But it's looking good!! *knock on wood*

Congrats on the data retrieval. Hope you manage to get it all back.

Now. May I be so rude to ask, how did you manage to acquire this nasty virus when 1) I'm sure you kept your AV definitions up to date and 2) even if you didn't, it is a virus that is a couple of years old and your AV software should have protected against it?

Apparently the virus was so nasty it took out PC-cillin. Yeah. Fantastic....

And now things are not looking good again. It recovered one of my vids, but we couldn't get it to play. But hubby is gonna find an avi repair thing and see if that helps. I hope it does...
