Jeffrey Donovan needs to do more comedy

Just got back from "Don't Dress for Dinner" and, as I guessed, it was FABULOUS! So funny, so well acted. Just an amazing time. And given that it was the very first night in front of an audience, I'd say it went very well. There was one point, though, when Jeffrey almost lost it on stage. One of the other actresses is just acting completely outrageous. COMPLETELY. And it is so funny. He couldn't look at her. You could see him biting his lip just trying to keep it in. Hehe. Oh, speaking of, FRONT ROW. And, yeah, the stage? Like a foot away. So Jeffrey was about a foot and a half away? So great. He's so adorable. I had wanted to try and maybe hang out by the stage door after for maybe auto/pic time, but 1) hubby has kind of a nasty cold and he was starting to get rundown and 2) couldn't find where the darn thing was, anyway! LOL

In conclusion, if you are in the Chicago area or plan on being in the Chicago area in the next two months or so, GO SEE IT! You will not be disappointed. I might have to go back....

And now off to bed to rest up for the boys!! Yay!!!

wow, great review!!

switch842, it's "philippa connors" (from USA Network's Burn Notice message baord) - this was a great review! would it be okay if I posted it over on the "Don't Dress for Dinner" thread? Thanks again for stopping by to tell us about it! I'm so glad you got to see him and that he was wonderful in it. As I mentioned over on the forum, I read the play recently and thought it was hilarious and right up Jeffrey Donovan's acting alley. Hope your hubby is feeling better!
