(no subject)

So, my dad called a little while ago. My grandma's gonna have to go into a home soon. Real soon. She's got advanced dementia. Not doing so well. Physically, she's fine. But mentally, she's just not really there anymore. This just totally sucks. I always thought she would be around for my wedding and now it's looking like she probably won't be. And my mom is just not doing so well with this (it's her mom). This is the first time I've really had to deal with this. Both my grandfather's died when I was really young. So I never really knew them. My other grandma lives in New Jersey, so I'm just not really as close to her as I am to this grandma who I see all the time. I just don't know what to do. I know I should call my mom tomorrow, but what do I say? How are you? She's not good, obviously. Shit. This just sucks.
