Well this isn't good

I need some tech help from my f-list. I have this program called AOA DVD Ripper which I use to rip clips for the videos I make. Apparently, the season 1 Atlantis set, has something on it that causes the program to crash/not work. Does the disc have some sort of protection on it that the others don't? Is there anyway I can get around it? Does anyone know of any other program I can use? Help!!!!!!!!!!!!
