Ten Inch Hero
Nov. 7th, 2008 08:16 amI'm conflicted....
Here's why. The main message of the movie seems to be one of it's not what you look like that matters, but what's on the inside that counts. And everyone ends up getting what they want. Except for Priestly. Sort of. Because in order for him to get Tish, he had to completely change the way he looked. But in doing that, he didn't change anything about what makes him who he was, he just made the packaging more "acceptable." Why should he have to do that? According to the movie - he shouldn't. But he did. So, kind of a mixed message there, huh? Oh, and speaking of, I was very happy when Priestly called Jen out on her bullshit. Cos, yeah, so true. It's OK for her to judge someone based on their looks, but they can't do the same? Sure.....
Overall, though, it was cute. Jensen was adorable. The Piper storyline was a little weird with the kid not being hers. But, whatever. Overall, I'd give it a 7.
