I am apparently technological kryptonite

First off, I finished the vid I pulled out of my ass to send to Creation! Yay1!! \o/

Secondly, I may not be able to actually send it....

So, as part of my epic laptop failure, it no longer recognizes the DVD drive. The drive has burning capabilities. Now, since I can't burn, but I need to send a DVD to Creation, I did what I did before I even had a burner on my laptop: "burned" the disc to a file, drag that file over to the server and use Nero to make the disc. It's worked many times before. It worked just last month when I sent them the SG vid. So, I go to do that with the SPN vid. And it doesn't work. The drive on the server is apparently reading every blank DVD-R I put in as a CD-ROM. So, obviously it can't burn DVD info to a CD.

WTF IS GOING ON?!?!?!?!?!?!

One simple answer: Murphy's Law

It always happens to me. I feel your pain, I really do.

On a tech note, it could be a driver issue or firmware update on the server. It's hard to pinpoint something like that. I'd also check the region code and make sure it hasn't gotten unchecked or changed by accident.

The laptop sounds like the motherboard might be trying to go bad on you (I've looked back on your other posts). When it rains it pours. *hugs*

Hubby is going to look at it when he gets home. I don't know. Maybe it's something as simple as I logged in under my user and not his which is FULL ADMIN privileges. We'll see. If we can get it working I can run to the post office in the morning. I hope... *fingers crossed*
