Just a little post to say Hello! to my new friends from the [livejournal.com profile] beyond_dapper friending meme.

I hope you enjoy your stay here at The Bungalow. We have a full service bar and hope to have a bake shop opening soon. ;-) There's a little master post here with some notes on how to best navigate my LJ and find whatever you may be looking for.

So, welcome! :-)

Or at least be really annoyed with me.

Last Saturday we switched cable/internet providers back to Comcast from AT&T. AT&T was pretty good for the most part, but the one continuing problem we had was anytime there was any sort of power hiccup or a system updated, it would clear the DVR. Which, well, really fucking annoying. We do have a battery back-up, but it's attached to the modem and not the cable box that does the recording. So, contract was up, Comcast was cheaper so we switched back.

And now I remember why we switched away from them. Their channel organization is pretty much nonexistent, their DVR is crap. It's been 4 days and I'm already way more annoyed than I ever was with AT&T. So, we're switching back. *facepalm*

AT&T guy will be here tomorrow to set things up and then Saturday hubby takes the Comcast equipment back to them. At that point, we should still be in the Comcast grace period and not have to pay the $200 early termination fee or whatever. *fingers crossed*

Martouf needs a haircut. Badly. Hubby had an interview for a professional exam thing this morning, so he didn't go into work. So, after Martouf's nap, we decided to go get him a haircut and out to dinner. The place we were intending to take had moved locations within the strip mall and is now a general Great Clips and not just a kids haircut place. So, not too happy, but we're there, so let's see how it goes.

In case you couldn't tell by my icon, it was not good.

Martouf is usually pretty good about sitting in the chair and letting the stylist do his/her thing. Not today. So, we finally get him situated in my lap and then, THEN, the stylist tells my husband, "Come stand behind him and hold his head tightly so it doesn't move."

Um, excuse me? You want us to try and forcibly hold a two year old's head still so you can cut his hair? Do you know how badly that won't work? If you're that uncomfortable cutting children's hair, then don't take child! We'll wait for someone who is. Or, if no one there is, tell us and we'll go somewhere else.

So, we told that wasn't gonna happen and she was all, "Well, what do you want me to do?" Nothing. We'll go somewhere else. Ugh. So, I'm gonna call this place at the mall a couple towns away that we went to before that was really very good and make an appointment for Saturday morning before his birthday party.

Ugh. People.
