Happened to me a while ago. I managed to get it undone, after the damage was done. I also went back in to their Twitter account to report them for spam, which also blocked them. Apparently Twitter hasn't done anything about their spam but at least blocking them stops the messaging. I think you also have to go into your Twitter account settings and block their access.
