Yeah, I need a Tumblr break

All the best parts of tonight's episode were so over-spoiled for me that at the end, instead of bawling my eyes out with THE EMOTION of it all, I couldn't help thinking, "That's it?"

And that sucks. It really, really sucks cos I've so been looking forward to tonight's episode. And not just for that, but everything else and West Side Story and yeah.

I'm sad to say that Tumblr is ruining Glee for me. Not sure what I'm gonna do or if/when I'll be back. But, yeah. :-(

Tumblr Savior. I've blacklisted everything labelled spoilers. I'm considering doing some unfollowing too, but I've found it's amazing. I don't get any accidental spoilers (for the most part), and THERE IS SO MUCH LESS WANK.

The bad thing is one person I follow gets like all these really random questions in her ask and you can't tag replies, so, all that stuff was still coming through. I hate having to unfollow people that I actually talk to and not just random people that squee over Glee, ya know?

Why does this all have to be so complicated?

Oh, I know. There's a couple of people I follow who have that problem, but I love them and won't unfollow.

Here's my thing. I'm okay with knowing SOME things. A little spoilage, NBD. But we knew like, fucking everything about this episode, and it was over hyped (not too much, but enough). So I think with Tumblr Savior, I'll save myself some grief. I can pick and choose what I want to click on and view, and that way I don't miss songs or stills, just endless "the spoiler says this" and it's endless wank.

I've WAY cut back on tumblr and I think after the past two days, I need to reevaluate again.

I basically stayed off tumblr aside from reblogging fic since like ... friday ... luckily I was less spoiled than I thought and loved the ep, but I would have been so angry if I was overspoiled. Some of the people I was watching with had seen like, all of the leaked scenes and stuff. I just don't get it.

Yup. Waaaaaay over spoiled. Like I kept waiting for more of the scenes that leaked and there wasn't. So yeah...

I kind of wish Tumblr Savior showed you who made the post that's being hidden. Some folks tag ep reviews with spoilers and I'm okay with those things. It's just the endless and unnecessary wank about things we don't actually know that's getting to me.

For the most part I like tumblr and the crazy silly funtimes that can happen there so I don't want to leave completely. But I think I'm really going to have to do some significant unfollowing (not you ;-p) and that just sucks.

Mine does. Well, it tells me who posted or reblogged it (if it's been reblogged, it doesn't tell you who the original poster is). Anyway, I'm going to try the next few episodes with Tumblr savior and see how it goes. I've already "missed" 3.08 spoilers and wank, and was happier for it. ;)

It does? Where is that setting? Is it in the user script somewhere? Mine just hides the whole thing with the "You have been saved from this post, it had something you didn't want to see in it. Click here if you cannot resist the temptation." text in its place.

I have issues with LJ and Chrome. It's weird, but thumbnailed images WILL NOT display for me when I use Chrome. No idea why, it's the most bizarre thing ever.

I just asked on Tumblr. Maybe someone else can help me.

Me too. I use firefox for somethings with LJ, but otherwise I use Chrome.
