I've actually gone pretty short in the back but kept the front a bob. The thing that's stopping me is the thought of having to deal with bangs again. I'd vowed the last time I grew them out that I'd never have them again.
Can I ask? What is the natural texture of your hair? Curly, wavy or straight? It's hard to tell when it's that short. ;) Mine's curly/wavy, which also means I'd have to fight with it if it were that short, or at least use enough product to keep it under control.
My natural texture is stick straight and very thick. My stylist actually razor cuts it most of the time to get a lot of the bulk out. Yeah, going as short as I am with curly hair is tricky for sure. Don't want to end up with an afro or the mushroom poof!
The back of my hair actually loves the way it is right now. It's cut in a wedge to make the back of the short bob and it just stacks perfectly. I have very thick hair too.
I just don't know what to do with the front of it. It's more wavy in the front than curly. I also like the fact that I can wear this style either curly or flat-ironed.
I'm just bored of it, I guess. And tired of not being able to see my earrings!
I've been thinking of a change, too. I love short hair, I really do, but I sometimes feel like when I have to get dressed up that I still just don't quite look done up enough, you know? Is that weird.
Anywho, I've been flirting with the idea of growing it out a bit into something like this (http://youtu.be/1MQNuVoYUU0) (youtube link). My stylist thinks I could pull it off, but I dunno....
Could you like chop it off a bit at a time? That way it won't go too short and you can maybe find a length that does work without having to grow it back out to what that might be?

Date: 2012-05-24 06:56 pm (UTC)I haven't had really short hair since high school, or it might have been even earlier than that... My mother inflicted it on me, I think.
It would probably be easy... Unless, I hated it. o_O

Date: 2012-05-24 07:20 pm (UTC)I keep telling my stylist, "Cut it a little shorter this time."
This last time I thought I might have overdone it but a day later I was used to it.
