SPN - As Time Goes By

Did anyone else catch this episode complete fucking up the show's continuity? There have been two 1 year skips in canon. So, going by that, season 8 should be taking place in 2015. However, the license plate sticker said 2013. Oh, SPN. I thought you were better than that!

So, moving on...

Overall, this was better than I was expecting given the preview last week. Granddaddy Winchester as a hunter? What? But, well, he wasn't. The idea of their being a sort of brotherhood of people studying up on supernatural beings and all things related to that and passing that knowledge on to hunters to try and help them rid the world of bad things is very interesting. And, like Sam said, what Cupid told them about their parents being destined to be together makes much more sense. If Henry hadn't disappeared and they had been raised in that world with that knowledge and then the Campbell's with their physical prowess and hunter-ability would result in pretty much the optimal vessel for an angel.

I think I would give this 3.5/5.
