WOW. Seriously, wow. That might just be the best Bond movie ever.

The movie, though, seemed to both confirm and completely crush a theory I've subscribed to for awhile. That theory being the one that the name "James Bond" is itself a code name, like 007 is and that many different people have actually been James Bond. How else could Bond have been in service for 50 years, right?

Near the middle, we learn that Javier Bardem's character (which, BTW, he looks so weird as a blond), his name while with MI6 was Silva. But, that is apparently not his given/birth name. Score 1 for the theory!

But then, at the end, when we visit Skyfall, it is apparently the Bond family estate. :-( Minus 1 for the theory.

So, yeah. I don't know. But, still. It was absolutely fantastic and everyone needs to go see it.

I believe that when the new guy took over I heard one of the producers say something along the lines of Bond being a code name. Then again that could have been because people where complaining that it was too soon for a change and he was just saying things.

But it would make me feel better in knowing WHY there have been so many Bonds. Please tell me they at least handled the whole Bond asking for a beer thing well because when I heard about that I got super upset.

The more the change actors the more I have to think they are all code names. Only way it works for me.

THANK GOD! I really have been upset over the whole Heineken thing since I heard they were getting a product placement in the movie. James Bond does NOT ask for anything but the martini, shaken not stirred.
