So, let's see what happened this week...

Finally went to see Brokeback Mountain. I really liked it. It really was good. Not sure if I loved it though.... It's interesting. I think I may have hyped it up a bit in my own mind. And it really wasn't as "graphic" as people were making it sound. After that first scene in the tent and the reunion kiss, there really wasn't much going on.

Put down the deposit on the reception hall. Wow. It's like really real now. It's crazy!! I need to start cutting the paper for the invites.

I got my eyebrows waxed today. First time ever. I like it though. Nothing too extreme, just a little cleaning up and maintenance.

So, when will the writers get it through their heads that we know Sam is smart and that all men in the universe instantly fall at her feet? I mean, really, we get it. We don't need it shoved down our throats every week. It's starting to get annoying. And where have Teal'c and Daniel been these last two weeks? This is still Stargate SG-1, right? Not Stargate Sam and Cam? Geez. But, that said, I must say I did enjoy this weeks episode. It was just kind of one of those fun romp episodes. Nothing too drastic or earth shattering going on. But, OMG, how fabulous was it to see Janet and Martouf again? I already knew about Janet, but Martouf was a total surprise. Loved it! I kinda wish we could have had a close-up of Daniel in the blue tiger fatigues. He looked smokin' in those shades! :-)

Atlantis was pretty cool, too. I did manage to figure out it was Caldwell before they revealed that, but I didn't think he would really be a Goa'uld. Hope they'll be able to get him free though. I'm sure they will. And we had snarky Rodney back! And some lovely McShep stuff, too. It was a really good TEAM episode, unlike what SG-1 has been lately. For some reason though, the whole Teyla singing thing bothered me. It was like Lord of the Rings or something. Very weird. Totally didn't get it. But I did love all the stuff back at the SGC with Dr. Lee. He's great.

OK. I think that's it. Later!

Though, I must say, I am with the femslashers on this ep...in Janet's reality, she and Sam are married and Sam is carrying their surrogate child.

And my working theory is that no one asked about the Daniels' personal lives because any reality where there is a Daniel, he will be with his Jack. ;-)

I totally agree. But yeah, it was a fun episode. I don't think it holds up as well upon repeated viewings, though. It just makes the annoying things more annoying. Or maybe that's just me. :-) (The fast-forward button is my friend. *g*)

Yes! And it's kind of funny because his eyes are one of his best features--the thing that draws you in, but he still looked awesome in the shades. :-)

This sounds so cool! I was really young when I got married--and really naive. I let everyone walk all over me and make things all their way instead of what I wanted. Still, the imporant thing is the marriage, not the wedding. hehe 25+ happy years now! *g* I hope the same for you! Or I could say, 25+ years filled with hard work. *g* Same thing. hehe I hope the same for you either way. Love and life and work and hardship that you overcome together.

I did the same thing. I'd read the story a while back and loved it, and then everyone was saying such fantastict things about it. Except for friends, I mostly avoided detailed reviews, but still, I think I hyped it up to myself too much and nothing could live up to what I imagined, I think. :-) I can't wait until it comes out on DVD because I'd like the chance to watch it in a less stressful environment and be able to pause it whenever I want (because it was long--and I didn't want to get up to go pee, but...it was long! *g*) and watch it a few times.

I loved the Tiger Blue fatigues. Daniel in sunglasses- smokin'. Mitchell didn't look too bad, either. *g*

I'm always for more McShep! *squee*
