There's some setting I have that I can't figure out how to turn off in Photoshop. And I know it can be turned off because it wasn't always there. Anyway, whenever I create a new image, in the upper left corner are 2 small icons in gray boxes. One says "01" and the other looks like mountains or something. Anyone know what these are and how I can get them to go away? It's really annoying when I'm making icons that are only 100x100 and I can't see that corner. Help!!! Thank you! :-D

ETA: My fiance is a GENIUS!! It's gone. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!1

"The little boxes little flags telling you that you have activated the Slice tool. Typically, the Slice tool is used when creating artwork for use on a website where you want part of a picture to become a hyperlink on the website. There are, of course, other uses for the tool. To get rid of it, go to View>Show> Slices and toggle uncheck it. (#2) Photoshop is filled with tons of keyboard shortcuts. If you get sloppy about punching keys on the keyboard you’ll have all sorts of goofy things popping up."

That's how I got it, I think, beign sloppy about punching keys. One time it wasn't there, then it was.
