So, my fiance thinks my shin splints are all in my head. Yeah, OK. I'm making myself not be able to walk for 3 or 4 days cos it's so much fun! Apparently, he had them once and they weren't that bad. That's nice. Those were your shin splints. Mine are fucking pain in the ass and make me walk like an arthritic 80 year old for several days. They started acting up last week after ballet on Tuesday. Then they got a little better but started acting up yesterday. It wasn't too bad so I went to class tonight. I tell the teacher so she knows why I'm not doing everything full out. She decides to fill every combination with lots of releves and jumps. Gee, thanks. I had to completely sit out one of the jumping combinations she had. Uh, no. OK. I think I'm done with that.

Oh! I need ideas for what I can call the chapstick I will be presenting to Michael at the Chicago Con in August. It has to do with the lip licking thing he does. Any ideas? Please? :-D

have you tried rotating your foot in a circle. It hurts like hell but it helps with the shin splints. Hope they get better!

Hope those shin splints feel better. My friend gets them when she runs too much, and they look painful. Take care of them!

My husband's a runner. He gets shin splints from time-to-time. He said to put a towel on the floor. Pick it up by getting your toes under the towel and curling your toes upwards to pick it up off of the floor. This should help.
