Continuation of spoiler discussion from the other day

So, I need some help understanding the SG-1 spoiler I got spoiled on the other day.


So, if Daniel is going to become a prior, how exactly is that going to happen? It would have to be against his will, cos there is no way it would be a willing thing. The only thing I can't remember right now is, are the priors "possessed" by the other Ancients? Or are those just the guys on the Plains of Celestus? I remember in the ep Origins that one guy at the end had one of them go into him, but I don't remember if it came back out after "changing" him. And how is Daniel going to go around spouting Origin unless he's possessed? So, how is this story line even going to work? I just need some help trying to wrap my head around this! :-D

Well, I heard that Daniel is going to have a show down with Adria, so maybe it could have something to do with that? I don't know. *L* I can't wait to see how this works! :-D Because Daniel as Prior is hot.

See, I just don't think so. BUt maybe that's cos I don't know they whole story and it might make more sense when I see how the whole thing plays out.

hehe I agree. I don't think Daniel is going to be "hot" as a prior--all grey and sickly-looking and with weird eyes, etc. *g* I'm just thinking "ew." *g*

Julian Sands pulled off hot as the Doci! I think Michael could pull off that level of hotness too. Heh. *L*

But more when I think Daniel as Prior = hot, I'm thinking more of the deliciousness of writing. Depending how that's pulled off, it could be jawdroppingly awesome. I have high hopes. *L* I mean, it's a complete wrench into the character. Becoming his enemy. Whoa.

And you know what's worse? I want to see repercussions from this. Like, ones that can't ever be fixed. I'm desperate to see something which doesn't add up to the Roadrunner and Wilie E. Coyote effect...even if it's at the expense of the char I love the deepest out of all others.

As you know, I hate this idea, even if it's not really true. Some have suggested that perhaps Daniel is only pretending to be a prior, because MS said that Daniel "sort of" goes over to the other side. Perhaps it's a Shades of Gray situation, or...who knows? I can't even imagine any way this would turn out good even if he's just pretending.*g*

I've wondered if you have to be willing to become a prior, though, because it seemed like Gerak had changed his mind and he came back as a prior anyway, but maybe they convinced him to change his mind again.

Yeah, that's the other thing I don't completely understand. And how could he "pretend" to be a prior? Wouldn't they know since the Ori are all knowing and all that crap? I just hope it works. I'll admit I'm worried at the moment. But, the writer's could maybe pull their heads out of their butts and make it something good. (By good I mean in terms of the writing not that it would be good for Daniel to be a prior)

I have no idea if he could pretend or not. That does sound a bit implausible. That was just some speculation that I read somewhere.
