A brief update while I'm sober before bed

switch842Since I have to get up in about 5 hours for the breakfast they moved up to the ass-crack of dawn, the party moved out of our room a little while ago. So, while I have the peace and quiet, thought I would give y'all a little update.
Joe Flanigan had to cancel at the last minute. Aww. So he won't be here. BUT....Don Davis was kind enough to step in and has joined the party. He even made it to the dessert party earlier tonight. He's so funny. And such a dirty old man!!
So, Friday. The adventured with Cliff as I like to call it.
The day started out well. Dan and Alex are very funny men. And damn! Does Dan have some guns on him! They didn't say too much about the cancellation, except not to give up hope and that Stargate will go on somehow, somewhere. So, after those 2 did their respective Q&As, came the big Gateworld dinner. We get to Chili's I go to check in and say "Hi, we're the party of 40." The guy looks at me, like "You're joking, right?" Apparently, even though I had called the day before and spoken to the manager and told him what was going on, they had no record of such a large group coming. So, things were kind of tense for a few moments. I called over to the IHOP to see if they could accommodate us. Luckily, the manager managed to bribe some people with free appetizers and we were able to all be seated in the same area after about 10 minutes. Yay for Chili's!! So, we order and I break out the little quiz Erin and I had made up for some fun. Just as I finish up, I look over and HOly Shit! It's Cliff Simon!! Arctic Goddess (GW user name) had managed to talk Cliff into coming to our little shindig. She rocks my world! So, he hung out for bit, had a beer. Took some photos:
Very nice man. Although, much shorter in person than one would think.
Anywho, we go back to the hotel for the cabaret. Which was HYSTERICAL!! Dan and Alex cast an episode of "Stargate, SG-FUN" Haha. Erin hopped up there for a little bit. It was good times. So, after that the party moved back to our room as we had all the free alcohol. About 1:00 in the morning Erin and The Irish Guy, were coming back in from a smoke break and run into Cliff in the hall (who it turns out is staying just 2 rooms down from us). They somehow talk him into coming in. After he went and used his bathroom first. So, I made him a vodka on the rocks at his request and about 15 minutes later, there he is! In my hotel room. Hanging out. OMG. This is NUTS! But in the best way possible! :D
OK, I think that's all for now. I must go to bed. See y'all later!!
