Thoughts on Ripple Effect

Ripple Effect was in syndication today. And for some reason, I find it hard to believe that, even as close as the universes are, that everyone looks exactly the same. Sam's hair is always the same length and the same shade of blonde. Daniel has the same glasses. Etc etc. I know it's a silly thing to obsess over, but it's kind of one of those things where if someone had thought about (wait? Stargate writers think?), it would have made the episode that much better. You know?

I agree. I would prefer a bit more difference in appearance. And speaking of appearance, there were two annoying factors with those black uniforms. 1. Why fall on the bad cliche in putting "evil" SG-1 in black? 2. They made the SGC personnel stupid: When "our" SG-1 came back, on time, they should have been wearing black uniforms, but they came back wearing green, making me ask the obvious question: "Um, excuse me, but why didn't you guys notice the uniform change? The giveaway question to the first team should not have been what brought them back early but what the hell they were doing in those black uniforms." *rolls eyes*

1) Yes. Totally. But at least they didn't do the beard thing. ;-)

2) I can kind of get past with the thought that they could be carrying back up uniforms depending on the mission. Like, if there was the possibility of needing to do nighttime recon or something. But it's still suspicious.

No, you should obsess over it. What about Vala being on one of the teams? Hell, if Martouf's on one, why can't she be? ;)
