Question for those that use Picasa

I downloaded Picasa a little while ago to fix some red eye issues I had. But now I'm using it to really go through and touch up all my convention photos. For some reason, when I went to add the pictures to the program to be able to edit them, it added new folders to my My Pictures folder that I had to name. But now, the original folders are also in there. Is that normal? Also, how do I get the edited pictures out of Picasa and back to the folder (either the new created ones or the original) to be able to upload them to the web. I went into the new folder to check, but they still look like the original picture - dark, blurry, etc.

Help. Please. :-)

Glad you figured that out. ;) It's annoying, but I figured they weren't really being moved.

Unfortunately, I just uninstalled Picasa. I liked the collage plug-in, but that was it. I want my folder/tree system, not theirs. Their method of archiving photos pissed me off and it didn't archive everything, either. I used my Paint Shop Pro 8 to get rid of the red eye in Steve's eyes and it did an okay job. I'm sure others have better programs, but this program worked well enough for me. :)

I ended up just exporting the pics and then moving them back to the folders I had created and deleting what Picasa had created. Kind of a pain, but it worked. :-)

I may have to icon some of the pics I took. I got some really nice ones of Steve. :-D

I'll just bet you got some nice ones of him. *is seriously jealous* I had this bitch in front of me who seemed to move every damn time I tried to get around her to take a picture. *sighs* Needless to say, most of my stuff came out blurred. *headbash*

Aww. I had a bit of that, too. The chicks in front of me were moving around a lot, too. A bunch of my David Hewlett pics came out blurry. :-( Grrr.

I'm still trying to get over the fact that I told Steve he was hot! What the hell was I thinking?!?! Ugh.

Yes, the first con can be quite the experience. I will admit this one was one of the more disorganized ones that I've been to. Way too much crammed into way not enough time. I was happy to see they're expaning it to 4 days next year (even though I won't be there).

I'm hoping to go to the next one, but it all depends on which actors will commit to going. If Steve goes, I'll probably find a way to go. I'd love Michael to be there, but I won't count on him going to every Stargate con.

I imagine Michael will probably be stopping cons in the next year or so. We'll see what happens. He is coming to Chicago along with Cliff and Paul McGillion. And me. :-) But I live here, so it's not too hard for me to go to that one? Are you near any of the other cons going on? Sometimes the "smaller" ones are a little better cos you get a little more time with the guests as there aren't as many.

Not any that are Stargate-related. If I could go to ones that weren't Sci-Fi generic, I'd go. We have some in my area but none are for Firefly or Doctor Who, etc. There's a Trek cruise that sort of combines Trek and B5, but I'd have to win the lottery to go to that one. It's literally a cruise that goes from Seattle to the Alaskan coastline. Would love to go on that one, but I don't have $2,000-3800. Yeesh.
