I'm Back!

Made it through the weekend relatively unscathed. :-) I say relatively cos WE GOT TATTOOS!!!




Isn't it awesome? I love it! For those of you on my f-list that may not know, that is the Earth point of origin for Stargate. Erin got the same design on the back of her calf. And that was just the beginning of the weekend!

Saturday, we went and did some shopping. My suitcase came back a lot fuller than when I took it down. It was kind of hard to close. :-) Then went out to a bar that night to celebrate my birthday, which is actually this Saturday. Had about 3 guys hit on me, got 2 free drinks from the radio station that was broadcasting there and had way too much fun dancing the night away. It was so awesome. It's been way too long since I've been out dancing.

Then Sunday, since we were up 'til 3:00 am, had a bit of a lazy day. Went to go see Knocked Up. Which is HYSTERICAL! Loved it. If you liked The 40 Year Old Virgin at all, you will definitely like this movie. Even if you didn't you might still like it. Lotta swearing, though. But still good.

Then I finally made it back to Chicago after having the flight delayed for about an hour and being shuffled around to about 4 different gates after we landed. That was annoying. But, I made it back and am now safe and sound back at work. Yay. :-P

Love the tattoo, although I must admit that that whole Stargate-thing is totally not my thing, lol.

Is it true though that it hurts like a motherfucker when you get a tattoo done on your foot? I've got one on my ancle and arm, and that didn't really hurt that much, but on your foot seems so painfull. *curious*

Surprisingly, it wasn't as painful as I thought. There were some spots that were definitely a little cringe-worthy. But overall, it wasn't that bad. Either that, or I handle pain better than I thought. :-)

Anywho, the pain was OK. I didn't need to have him stop or anything, but I do know some other people that said it killed. So, maybe i had it built up in my mind so much that the actual pain didn't seem as bad? I dunno. But I do think it depends on how much of a pain threshold you have.

Glad that you had a good time! I also had a fantastic time and am not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow or class this evening. I've been a bum today so far and I really need to get on my reading for tomorrow so I don't gotta do it tonight!!! Nath says you'd looked really hot, I shared some pics with him last night on the chat. I told him to get in line behind all the guys who's hearts you were breaking on Saturday!!! ;-)
