I'm never pre-ordering anything again

switch842So, I pre-ordered SG1 S10 and SGA S3 through Amazon last week. I saved $20 by doing so. I get an e-mail on Monday that my package has shipped. Yay! Um, no. I check the tracking again today as I still don't have it. Status says "Mon Jul 23 - Carrier notified to pick up package." Yeah, my DVDs are still sitting with Amazon.
WTF?!?!?!
Is it just me, or when you pre-order something, do you not expect it to ship in time to get to you on the release date? Isn't that the whole fucking point? I'm pissed at the point. I want my fucking DVDs. It's been 2 days. The USPS should have picked up the package by now. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
