So, I'm officially a huge freaking Corin Nemec fan. Once you hear about the rest of my weekend, you will all hate me, but I don't care. :-P Cos it was just that awesome. :-D

So, continuing from yesterday, we all met up at the Wyndham O'Hare Sunday afternoon so Corin could do his schmoozy thing with the Creation folks. (I just have to say that the first words out of Corin's mouth after we met up were "You look very nice." Squee!!) After he talked to Adam, he decided not to do any kind of "official" appearance or anything like they said would be OK to do. But they got the dialogue open so, hopefully, this will lead to Corin appearing at future events.

Corin decided he wanted to wander around the vendors for awhile, so we did. There was this one graphic artist/lithograph print booth that had some really amazing works of art. One of them had every member of SG-1 from the beginning of season 7 (Corin included) and had been autographed. We were all standing there admiring it and the guy who runs the booth comes over and we start talking and trying to figure exactly when it would have been released. He comments that it must have been season 7 cos it had both Corin and Michael in it. We go "And this is Corin." Guy's eyes like bug out of his head. Too funny. Cos it's totally unexpected, right? Anyway, he then calls his wife over and introduces her. She DOES NOT believe it's him. At all. Will not believe it. Now, I will admit he looks slightly different as he had to gain about 20 pounds to play Jonas. But it's definitely him. Especially when you hear him talk. But, no. She didn't believe it. She made him sign a piece of paper and then compared it to the autograph on the print. HUGE *facepalm* moment when she realized it really was him. But Corin loved it, he was just laughing and having a good time. He was great.

Then after lunch, Karen had horsemanship lessons out in another town and we decided we would all tag along cos we had nothing else to do. While we were waiting, Corin and Rachel (his girlfriend, who is the nicest, sweetest person ever) broke out this video camera they had with them all weekend. Turns out, he's trying to get this TV show going that he and David Faustino (Bud Bundy from Married with Children) are producing. It's a Larry Sanders-ish type show. It's basically them playing themselves as starving actors but turned up to 11. It sounds really, really funny and I really hope it gets picked up. They did a bunch of scenes with him pretending to be at this convention with no fans there. Very amusing. Please keep your fingers crossed for him. They approached Fox with the concept and I guess one of the bigwigs over there loved it. And it would work really well on Fox since both he an David are alums of Fox shows.

So, then we all went out to dinner and just hung out talking. It was so great. It was so awesome and yet so normal at the same time. Does that make any sense? He's just such a great guy that you forget he's a celebrity. But there were these little flashes where Karen and I would look at each other like "Can you believe this?!?!" At one point during dinner we were talking about the show and he said something about Kelowna. You could tell all of us (cos Karen's husband had joined us by that point) all just got this flash of "OMG! I'm having dinner with Jonas!" thing. It was nuts.

Anyway, that was my weekend. We need to start spamming MGM with letters and e-mails to get Corin in the movie and maybe Atlantis. Speaking of Atlantis, interesting factoid - back when they thought Season 6 was going to be the last season and Atlantis was going to spin-off from there, Jonas was supposed to be the cross over character for that show, actually. So, I think it's about time they got Jonas out there. They don't have any archaeologist type characters that we've really seen. Why not bring in Jonas? I think it could work. :-)
