Is it possible to write a cross-over fic when one of the TV shows exists in the other's reality? I'm thinking Dr. Who (w/Jack)/Atlantis crossover. Someone somewhere said something about Jack encountering a wraith and my brain exploded. But, I'm pretty sure Rodney has made references to Dr. Who. So, would that be possible?

I don't see why not - the show has even set the precedent for it with Wormhole X-treme, plausible deniability. Letting a show be made would deflect attention away from the truth. Jack could even make that reference. Like in Galaxy Quest where TIm Allen denies the existence of the ship until he finally says "It's true, it's all true!"

Hmm. That's an interesting take on it. The plausible deniability thing. I may have to ponder this some more....

You definitely should continue to ponder it because it sounds really interesting

Like Vagablonde said, plausible deniability! And remember, Dr Who and Torchwood, Jack's new/ish show, are separate entities, so Jack could be "real" within the context of the Atlantisverse, even if Dr Who *himself* is not, kwim?

I think Jack/Wraith is a pretty mindblowing idea, actually. He'd outsnark John!

OK. According to IMDB, Atlantis started 2004 and the new Dr. Who in 2005. So, Rodney probably won't have seen the new episodes. Unless they got smuggled onto Atlantis somehow. Which does seem to be a fanon thing. But that's fanon. Not canon.

OK, I think I'm getting an inkling of how I can do this... Now if only the muse will cooperate and let me get the story out in a timely manner...
