I will be rather indisposed for the next two weeks as Nutcracker mania has officially begun. Only 13 performances this year, though. :-D Last night's rehearsal was interesting. I'm the understudy for Mrs. Stahlbaum (Clara's mother) and the director had me go in for one of the run-throughs. And it actually went OK. The girl who had to go in for me was...not so good. She's new this year and doesn't quite get the whole "acting" thing that you have to do during the show, in addition to the dancing. Anyway, first show is Friday. Should be good. :-D

I was wondering how this was going for you.

Our local production is being touted over the radio waves. Not sure when we start though. I haven't been in eons.

Good luck! Dance pretty!

It's going really well. It's completely different this year, which is good. This is my 4th year doing it and for the first 3, the Party Adults' main dance was the same. It was nice, but kind of boring. It ain't this year!! LOL It really feel a lot like what court dancing would be like. I actually get to do chaines!! (Those spinny things across the floor that dancers do. :D) Hehe.

That's cool!

It's sad, I danced for years and years and I never saw our company do Nutcracker.

Awww. That's too bad. This is just a small local company that I joined a few years back. I danced from when I was 2 all the way through high school. Not that I was ever any good enough to be a professional. But it was lots of fun. I did Nutcracker way back then in high school and I think this is better. :-D

if you have dvd's then you can make screen caps and post pics, right? I want to see pics because I'm just visual that way. Pretty please.

Have fun tomorrow, hope everything goes as planned.

Hmm, I can try... I might have to figure out creative cropping as there are likely to be children in every shot. The camera men like children more than the adults. Even when they're just sitting on the side and we're the ones dancing. What do they focus on? The kids looking bored. Great, thanks.
