Funny Perspective Thing...

So, I'm on the Activities Committee at work. I've become the default sign/invitation/banner maker person. If anything graphic-y needs to be made, it's up to me. The odd thing is, I have to make everything in Word. Because I have nothing else. And it works fine. It's just ClipArt and WordArt and it comes out how it needs to. It's nothing fancy but it gets the job done. Here's where that funny perspective thing comes in - everyone else on the committee thinks it's like the most amazing stuff ever created. It's so weird. Cos half the time I'm thinking, if you think this is amazing, buy me Photoshop and I'll really show you what I can do. It's just odd sometimes....

My husband, who does computer graphic_web stuff yah yah, thinks most people, even in this day and age, are very insecure about this kind of thing, they don't trust themselves when it comes to anything graphic or art-like and so consequently very much appreciate, and are a little in awe of, people who seem to have a clue. You have a clue so they appreciate what you do not even realizing how much more you're capable of. So cool.

Oh, yeah. I mean, I think it's great that they love what I do. I could just do so much more.... :-)
