I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your journals, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you for your interest in my words.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself? Any old thing at all, the more trivial and fascinating, the better. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...they enjoy eating brownie batter while watching old disco movies."

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal and see what gems of knowledge appear.

I have a tendency (that is about 95% of the time, though it isn't an OCD), to finish off each thing on my plate before moving on to the next. Eat all the chicken, then all the peas, then the roll. Or maybe the carrots first, the the mashed potatoes, then the beef.

That is definitely very odd. Now I don't like my food touching, but I will take bits of different things intermittently.

HI!

My name is Barbara but my friends call me Barb. I'm a wife and mother of 2. I lurk around for hours every night(after I tuck in the husband and kids). My weird talent...I can wiggle my ears.

Hi, I'm Jilly, and I'm a musical-holic. ("Hello, Jilly...") But you already knew that.

When I was a junior in high school, I sang in Carnegie Hall. No, not alone. My HS choir spent the year learning John Rutter's Magnificat, and in May we traveled to NYC and sang it there, with him conducting. (Also saw Les Mis and the NYC Ballet. :D)

G'day all. I'm Megan...31 year old Aussie who spends far too much time on the 'net!!

My father brought me a house last year which means I will never, ever have to worry about a paying off a house. How many 31 year olds can say that??

I love old movies and books and am amassing a large collection of both...

I am an organ and body donor and firmly believe more people should do this to save lives.

I have a severe latex allergy which makes life very interesting as latex is well and truly everywhere!

My dream job is becoming a forensic scientist and I'm fascinated by the psychology and minds of criminals and serial killers.

My house is a shrine to my favourite sport...cricket and I was the youngest female umpire in the state of New South Wales in 2003/2004.

I collect teddy bears and have well over 200 of all shapes and sizes.

I have started to collect Buddhas of all shapes and sizes as I am interested in learning more about Buddha and Buddhism, which really annoys my father!!

I am researching and writing a book on my Great Grandfather which I hope to have published someday...

My favourite music is 1930's and 1940's jazz. One of my all-time favourite singers is Ella Fitzgerald and I adore the music of George Gerswhin.

I love to read and often read more than three books at the same time.

I hope this isn't too many...Anything else you think you'd like to know...just ask ;)

Hmmm...I'm trying to think of something cool and interesting that you may not already know about me. I can't remember if there is anything I haven't shared with you, so I figured I'll post five fun, wild and wacky things about myself and see if in the course of the ensuing conversation, I can think of something weird and wacky. That you do not know about yours truly.

1. I have pieces of metal in my body. A six inch steel rod in my spine and now a 6 inch steel screw in my right big toe. Freak of nature, that's me.

2. I have a black belt in Kyokushin, a full contact Japanese karate form. If you are not sure what full contact is, take a street fight and add a few rules. Yes I can kick your ass. ;-)

3. I have four brothers and four sisters. And I talk to one of them on any sort of regular basis. Yes that's family love for you.

4. My father, if he was still alive today, would be in his late eighties. My mother is in her late sixties. I am 27. Do the math. Dysfunction is thy name.

5. I love cats. Like I seriously want to save every cat in the world. I have three. I could own more, but I think my husband might tie me up and shove under the bed if I suggest adopting another cat. Seriously.

Mmm...let me see.....

1. I still have one of my "milk teeth" left from babyhood....which considering I'm nearly 50 has lasted me damn well...I used to have 3 others but sadly they fell out...the adult teeth never grew in their place...

2. My grandfather was only 2 months shy of his 103rd birthday when he died, his mother was 97 too, so I'm hoping his side of the family's longevity has been passed down to me...

3. I loving gigging and have seen over 100 bands and solo artists live in the past 4 years or so....

Deeds xx

Hmm...let's see...

I go to sleep to Theodor Bastard's Pustota CD nearly every night and have done so for the past 2 years.
Since it's not in english, I still don't know what the hell they're saying. But I like the CD.

my dad worked for NASA and some of my best early memories revolve around blast-offs. He would get my mom and me up at three in the morning (CA time) or around that time anyway, we'd gather in the living room with coffee for them and hot chocolate for me, I'd lay on the floor wrapped in a blanket, they'd sit in their recliners and we'd watch from beginning to end -- Mercury...Gemini...Apollo, all of the missions pre-shuttle.. Dark living-room, warm smells and the glow of the TV set...very good memeories

I'm old--just turned 47. I play guitar. At home I almost always wear sweatpants with a matching jacket that I take on and off all day long (hot flashes, cold flashes *g*). I hate wearing bras and I never wear one at home unless we have guests. I never remember to tear the pages off my desk calendar. Today my daughter finally did it for me, and the last time I'd touched it was July. I almost always drink from a straw at home (cold drinks). I love chocolate soy milk warmed up like hot chocolate.

hehe How's that?
