Jan. 9th, 2008 06:21 pmTwo in one day?!?! As hell frozen over? LOL :-D
Title: Favorite
Rating: PG
Word count: 437
Summary: Gale seems awfully comfortable kissing other guys. But Randy is still Gale's favorite.
A/N: This came about after watching 109 and it struck me that Gale is awfully good at kissing other men. :-)
Disclaimer: I do not know Gale or Randy (sadly). And I have no idea what Patrick Currie's (Hotlanta) sexual orientation is. For this story, he's gay.
Gale was high. And Randy was maybe a little, okay, A LOT, drunk. He’d drunk most of the bottle of wine they had had with dinner and started in on a second. Which was good. Because there was no way Randy would be able to ask what he was about to ask while they were both sober. Gale was sprawled out on his too small sofa and Randy was sitting on the floor by his head, his back against the couch.
Gale had switched from pot to regular cigarettes a while ago. And damn, his apartment was going to reek for a month. But he didn’t care. He had a good buzz going and that was all mattered.
“Gale,” he said.
“Yeah.”
“Are you sure you’re straight?”
“What makes you say that?” Gale asked, not sounding too surprised.
“Well, it’s just…you seem really comfortable kissing guys for someone who’s straight.”
“Come on, Randy. You know how orally fixated I am,” Gale replied as he puffed on his cigarette.
Randy sighed from his seat on the floor. He didn’t get it. Gale did not kiss like a straight guy.
“Besides, kissing has to be at least my second favorite pastime.”
“What’s your first?” Randy asked twisting around to look at Gale who merely quirked an eyebrow in response. “Oh. Right. But even still, I mean, look at Hal. He’s straight and you can totally tell when you watch him kiss another guy. There’s none of that with you.”
“Why is this bothering you so much?” Gale asked.
Randy shrugged noncommittally. He really didn’t want to get into it. Because he knew if he did, he’d come off sounding like a jealous boyfriend and that was the last thing he wanted.
“Randy…”
“It’s nothing,” he said finally. “You just looked really comfortable with that Hotlanta guy today and it just made me wonder.”
“Well, ya know, it helps when the other guy is gay. Besides, Patrick’s a nice guy. And an actual actor. Not just some random schmoe of the street they sometimes get. He’s not too bad of a kisser, either.”
Randy made a little snort of protest. Gale rolled over onto his stomach, peering over Randy’s head to look at his face.
“You’re jealous,” he stated.
“I am not,” Randy protested, swatting at Gale’s head.
“Are too.”
“Am not!”
“Are too.”
“Am… Stop it! I’m not getting into this with you.”
“Don’t worry, Randy. You’re still my favorite,” Gale added as he got off the couch to grab a beer from the fridge.
“Your favorite what?” Randy asked standing to face Gale.
Gale put down the beer had just opened and looked at Randy intensely for a few moments. So intensely that it made Randy start to squirm. Slowly, Gale crossed the room and stopped just inches from Randy.
“This,” Gale whispered before pulling Randy closer and kissing him square on the mouth.
