1.) When did you first start vidding?
2005
2) What would you say was your inspiration or motivation to start doing it?
I had been watching vids for awhile and got an idea for one that wouldn't leave me alone. Oddly enough, that vid ended up being like the 10th vid I made.
3) What do you or have you vidded?
Stargate SG-1 (there is an Atlantis in the works), Queer as Folk and Torchwood (only 1 so far)
4) Where do you draw your inspiration from for vids? Is it the song? An idea? Someone else?
It's all in the song. I'll hear a song and start seeing clips from the show and if I see enough I know I have to make it.
5) What was your favorite video to make or do?
Probably "All American Girl." I just love it and I think it fits Sam so well. In a tongue & cheek kinda way. ;-)
6) What was your least favorite video to make or do?
Probably Goodbye My Lover. While I do love how it turned out it took FOREVER to figure out the structure for it. Plus the song makes me cry like every time I hear it. LOL
7) Which video are you most proud of?
How Far We've Come. It's 10 years of SG1 and I just love love love how it turned out.
8) What's the best feedback or comment you've ever gotten?
Probably when Brihana said that she didn't have to make the Daniel/Vala video to Time After Time she had been thinking about doing cos mine was perfect. Well, pretty much anytime Brihana leaves me feedback is pretty awesome. (*Mwah!*)
9) What is your opinion on clip theft?
Just don't do it.
10) Favorite genre to vid to (comedy, angst, romance, drama, AU)?
I don't really. I'll do just about anything....
11) Favorite pairing(s)?
Jack/Daniel (kinda Daniel/Vala is a close 2nd)
12) What just drives you up the wall when it comes to vidding?
Ripping the clips. Takes for freaking ever. I wish there was an easier way to do it.
13) Is vidding a pastime, hobby or something to help gain experience to do more later in life?
Hobby. It's just something I do when I find the inspiration and the time.
14) What is your latest project or idea for your next vid if your muse isn't dead?
Um, I have about 10. Would you like to hear them all?
~A Jack/Ianto/Adam kind of thing that's in the preliminary stages
~3 different Daniel/Vala videos
~A Jack/Doctor kind of thing, but not like slashy
~A McShep vid that has been driving me crazy for over a year but I need the season 4 discs first.
15) Finally, what kind of words of wisdom would you offer someone who wants to vid/ is a newbie?
TAKE YOUR TIME. You don't need to churn out a video every week. Well, you can if you want to to just learn about the program you will be using (NOT Windows Movie Maker. If you're serious about vidding, get something better) but you don't have to share them with EVERYONE. Watch lots of different videos and try to figure out what it is you like about them. Is it the editing? The effects? The type of song? Rip your own clips. You really will learn so much that way it's amazing.
