I'm working from home today as with end of year stuff, there's not going to be much for me to do. So, I'm in the kitchen making my bowl of cereal and my husband comes down and flips on the TV. It's on the SciFi Channel. "Hey," he says. "They're running at Atlantis marathon all day today." Cool, I think and glance over at the TV. Honestly, I see the screen for about two seconds. It's one a close-up of Rodney, in profile looking off to the side kind of angsty and thinky as he does. "Oo! Hot Zone!" I reply. Honestly, why did I know that that quickly? Seriously. Two seconds on a close-up of Rodney and I could name the episode. I need help....

You're definitely not the only one. I do that all the time with TV shows. *G*

Try having your husband describe the scene in five words or less and instantly know the episode. Without ever having actually seen it on TV.

That's okay if you think you need help. I don't charge very much....

LOL. I can do that not with SGA but with SG1, X Files, Enterprise and SPN. Sad really.

SGA is mostly seasons 1 & 2 when the show was still good and I was much more engrossed in it. Not quite there with SPN, needs to watch all the eps a few more times over... :-)

Yup. SG-1, Atlantis & Farscape here.

What's really telling, though, is hubs' reaction. If he let it slide, you're okay. If he rolled his eyes, it may be time to seek professional help.

Not that it works. Ask me how I know. :P

Yeah, he was all "How the HELL did you know that?" No letting it slide around here...

*snickers* Welcome to the Geekiness. I'm that way with SG-1 and Star Trek TOS, and with the latter, it only takes me 15-30 seconds of *listening* to the beginning before I know what episode it is. ;)

*snicker* I'm not quite there with the listening, but I'm getting there...

*g* Like you with Rodney and the one image from a scene, I'm like that with Daniel. All I have to do is look at a picture or paused frame and I know where he is. *g*

Pfft. Too easy. ;) The only good thing about "Bounty" were those library scenes. And that pic, in particular, was when he was embarrassed by the come-on. Still cracks me up. ;)

Don't feel bad about that, it just means you are dedicated.

I am totally the same way about my shows, my brother sent me a crappy camera phone picture he took off an episode of Doctor Who he came across and sadly even only glancing at it I was able to not only name the episode but also quote the exact scene he sent me.

He still makes fun of me for that one.

Craig has a running joke with me to turn on any ep, SGA or SG-1 and see how quickly I can name it.

Oh how he mocks my fangirlishness. :D

Your not the only one. I was chatting on the phone with a friend the other day and she was watching an episode, and I could just *barely* hear it in the background and it took me about 5 seconds to figure out which one it was.

Or there is always the time I weirded even her out by sitting three states away and correctly identifying photos, and episodes on a disc I'd sent her(that I did NOT have in front of me as I was driving).

LOL!

I think though my ability developed over the course of last quarter's computer classes as I was doing a lot of SGA related stuff-wallpapers for my photoshop class, and a *GIANT* PowerPoint project that required me to be intimately familiar with all my files and know *exactly* where each piece I used came from.
