switch842Found the Doctor Who Confidential to watch and I think I get why this Matt Smith guy was cast. You can see in his mannerisms he has that quirky kind of thing that you (I, anyway) have come to expect as part of The Doctor. So, I'm actually a little excited about this change now. It's strange that he's so young, but he has that "old" quality, too, that Moffatt talked about. Should be an interesting change. And also, who's the new companion? What will Jack think of this hot, young thing as The Doctor? Hmmm.... Guess we'll find out in 2010!

Date: 2009-01-04 12:27 am (UTC)One suggestion for a companion I found interesting is that they should get someone older, which could offset perceptions of the peoples they encounter who may assume the older (looking) person is "in charge". The companion could also provide a steady stream of amazement that this "young kid" has so much knowledge and influence.
