OK, I think I get it


Found the Doctor Who Confidential to watch and I think I get why this Matt Smith guy was cast. You can see in his mannerisms he has that quirky kind of thing that you (I, anyway) have come to expect as part of The Doctor. So, I'm actually a little excited about this change now. It's strange that he's so young, but he has that "old" quality, too, that Moffatt talked about. Should be an interesting change. And also, who's the new companion? What will Jack think of this hot, young thing as The Doctor? Hmmm.... Guess we'll find out in 2010!

I'm just picturing Captain John's reaction...I love how he calls Ianto "Eye Candy." I'm sure he'd come up with something similarly respectfully derogatory for 11. :D
