Giant blue glowing penis, FTW! LOL J/K It wasn't as bad as it could have been. Most peen shots involved the whole body, so it wasn't huge. Darn! ;-)

OK, getting serious now....

I LOVED it. Haven't read the graphic novel, so I can't really tell how it compares to that, but it was really awesome. The effects and visuals were stunning. I thought the acting was great and the casting was spot on. I think any "big name" stars would have been distracting. JDM was amazing as The Comedian. Very different role, too. Not a good guy at all, really. Well, sort of. It's odd, but it's like he's said in some interviews - for the horrible things The Comedian had done, you don't hate him when it's all over.

Though, if I had anything to complain about, it would be the music. Don't get me wrong, the musical choices were awesome. But they were almost distracting in a way. Like, when they were playing, that section of the movie almost became a separate little music video or something. Does that make sense? But the song used in the opening sequence during the murder of The Comedian was pretty awesome - Unforgettable. But I've always like strange juxtapositions like that. Like the use of Somewhere Over The Rainbow during that one scene in Face/Off.

So, in conclusion, I recommend this movie greatly. It's a really good time. :-D

I saw it today as well, and I really loved it! I haven't read the graphic novel either, but my husband has, and he told me a little about it. He really enjoyed it too.

I had been hearing mixed things from people - seemed they either loved it or hated it. But I'm glad it was good. I might see if our library has the book handy...
