Ok, my random observations.

1. Cas knew where Dean was going to die, be buried, and be brought back months before he died.

2. I knew about the wife as soon as she ran up to the car, but I was expecting her to do something long before she did.

3. Why the hell did the boys not fight until they knew Cas was there? Or did Dean know that Cas was there and was just waiting for his sign to make a move?

4. When Sam came up from demon-chickie's neck, he looked exactly like Jack did when he came up from Travis (sans the chewing part). Right down to the way he came up from the floor and looked at Dean. (It doesn't matter what you are; it only matters what you do.)

5. When Sam raised his hand to save the wife, Dean ducked. Dean has never ducked from Sam before, but in that moment, when he saw what Sam has to do to keep his power? Dean was afraid of him.

On the promo... I don't know how much of what we saw happens in reality and how much of it happens in Sam's delusional brain. Right now, the only thing I'm really, really hoping is that Dean channeling John is in Sam's head, that it's Sam's fear manifesting rather than something Dean actually says.

Other than that, I can only say jdgaklgnhadkfhbvahfuiaha;rheuihfacohfaoihgauohcwahdklfjs!!!!!!

1) That is true. I never realized that before...

2) I didn't quite catch on to the wife. I knew there had to be something else, but I was almost expecting it to be the daughter, just for a twist.

3) The boys did look pretty beat up when they got brought in. We know Sam was in a weakened state and that Dean is just plain tired of fighting by himself and not getting the help they need. So, maybe they were doing the best they could, but it just was not enough?

4) YES. That scared me a lot. Not like "EEP! Scary thing!" scary, but scared for Sam. He's so far off the reservation now. I really hope Dean and Bobby can bring him back.

5) I think Sam scared Dean shitless right now.

RE: the promo: Sadly, I think Dean really does say that. We know there's going to be some huge rift between the boys and this looks to be the start of it. Dammit.
