Does anyone have a good audio cutter?

I think the song I want to use for the big bang vid is a little too long and I want to cut some of the middle out. I've tried a few programs and it always ends up with a really clunky transition. Can anyone help? Please?

I'm pretty good at audio editing, so if you want to email me the name of the song and the timestamps of where you want your cut to start and finish, I could try editing it for you. I have GarageBand which is proper music recording software on my Mac, or I can do it in Vegas.

Thanks! I may take you up on that. I'm gonna play around with the AudaCity thing I downloaded and see if I can get it. If not, I'll let you know. :-)
