I think I've been Jossed.

It would seem that my fannish thoughts of Eliot having a perfectly happy and normal family are no longer accurate. Crap! :-P

This was a very interesting episode, though. Did not see the twist coming of the marshall being a hit man. Hardison's page had me LOL, though.

The con itself was very intriguing. That whole "power of the mind" stuff has always been very interesting. How much can the mind really do? A lot, it would seem...

It was fun seeing Alec and Eliot being teamed up again. It's been awhile since that's happened. And all Alec's Star Trek ramblings? He really is a geek! LOL

Oh, and they're not hiding Gina's pregnancy very well....

Did you just cause a man's nose to bleed with your mind?

LOVE this show!

Haha, welcome to my world. S1 jossed me, like, four times in two episodes.

I was hoping Eliot would have a normal childhood, just to be different, but I kinda figure a character like that kinda HAS to have a messed up childhood.

I guess so. It's just, I don't know, predictable? So I was wanting something that wasn't. Does that make sense?

Oh, it totally makes sense. I was hoping for something not so predictable either. As soon as Eliot laid eyes on the kid, I was like, "yeah okay bad childhood."

Unless maybe it's not him? But like his bestest friend ever or something? *keeps up hope of normal Eliot homelife*

Yeah, I think [livejournal.com profile] havenward or somebody in her journal suggested that the reaction may not necessarily have arisen out of personal experience.

He really does seem like the kind of guy that would protect anyone that cannot protect themselves. But there was stuff last week about controlling the violence he has inside and all that stuff. I mean, they have laid twists on us before, so maybe this storyline isn't going where we think it is....

Like everyone else said, makes sense he would have a bad childhood, but could just as easily be that he doesn't like to see children hurt and knows how to look for the signs.

I hadn't heard that Gina was pregnant but I had been thinking since the premiere that Parker's insistance Sophie tell Nate something might not be about a boyfriend (as we are led to believe) but a pregnancy, pure speculation at this point, nothing to back it up, but the knowledge the actress is pregnant just fuels my thinking.

This is Leverage, it's all about the con and Sophie can con Nate as long as she knows she's working a con. And the Leverage writers can certainly con the audience if they so wish.

Gina's pregnancy isn't being written into the show. So, Sophie is not with child. Though that could be interesting... :-)
