Vidding Question

How do y'all feel about repeated clips? Like, ones that are used for a specific effect or with a specific repeated phrase? The vid I'm working on right now, the singer does this weird screaming/vocal thing four times (twice at the beginning and then twice more at the end). And there's really only one clip that fits with the theme of the vid and with what the song is doing. The times they're together they are about 11 seconds apart. So it goes like Vocal Thing, 11 seconds instrumental, Vocal Thing Take 2. Does that make sense? Would it work you think to repeat the clip? Am I making any sense?

normaly I hate it when things repeat but , if it makes sence in the song then do it , people not always catch things the first time so it's sometimes cool to repeat it ... I've done it ones lol :D

I did it before once too (How Far We've Come) but I've never been quite sure how it worked. The clip itself is barely longer than a second. So, it wouldn't be like repeating a huge chunk of scenery or anything.

Depending on the context, you can treat it like a flashback of sorts.

Mmm, not so much in that context. Just the movement in the clip really goes with the weird vocal effect that's going on musically.

I've seen it used very effectively, but I'm not sure I'd do it to the same part in the music each time. I guess the only way is to try it out and see what it comes across like.
