I have a conundrum

So, I have a little site on geocities where I posted all my SG fanfic. Well, geocities is closing. I need to figure out what I want to do with my fics. I'd like to repost them here, I think, but I'd hate to spam my flist with like 30 updates in one day. I don't think I want to make up a new site, I'm not too worried about that.

What do you guys think? What should I do?

You wouldn't have to spam your flist. You could backdate each entry. Then when they're in there, make a new entry that has an index of links to each fic. Then add a link to that index entry to your link list.

I'm pretty sure if you backdate it won't show up. Maybe try one just to make sure before dumping in 30 of them.

post them privately, just to yourself, wait for a couple of weeks to go by and then go back and repost however you normally do, everyone, friends, however. They'll be beyond everyone's radar when you open them up, I think two weeks or so is when posts fall off the other end.

I haven't tried yet. Was going to work on it this weekend. But I think I'm going to go the comm route.

or you can make yourself a fic comm, a special place to post just your fics

Meh. Then I have to watch that for comments and everything. And I don't think I really write enough to warrant a comm just for me.

If you want to post them here, I'd just go ahead and do that, even if it's 30 in one day. People can scroll past them, after all. It's just a one-time thing--not like you'd be posting 30 or more fic posts per day every day. *g*

I saw your other post about a fic journal. That's a good idea, too, if you'd like to keep it separate and make it easy for people to find your stories via tags, etc., without sifting through your personal tags.

I think either way is okay--whatever works for you.

I know I run my friends' list by opening the links I want to read in a new tab or window...so it doesn't matter to me. I don't think I've read all your stuff though and I'd like to so I hope you do post it whatever you decide.

And I'm probably not making any sense cuz I'm really sleep deprived for some reason at the moment.
