This is sort of a continuation of my comments from [livejournal.com profile] whisper99's post about Dean & Castiel you can find here.

In that post, I state that I believe Dean has a need for approval from some sort of fatherly figure. That's basically his motivation. Do what you're told, be the good soldier, etc. And that this is something Michael probably knows and is just biding his time until it's right to approach Dean "in the flesh" about becoming his vessel. This made me think - what if Michael appears to Dean in the form of his father? Ooooo, right? It would be similar, I guess, to what Lucifer did to Mark. Appearing as a loved one to gain trust.

I don't know. That probably won't happen, but it would be cool.

I've also been wondering about what Lucifer might have said to Sam to get him to say yes. Mainly because whatever it was, it wasn't a lie. We've seen that that's not how Lucifer operates. He just tells the truth. That whole "Sympathy for the Devil" crap. What could it have been??

Yeah, I really wanna know what in the alterna-verse would make Sam say 'yes'. That's not, you know, a blatant lie.

I really can't imagine anything right now that would make Sam say yes. Unless he was somehow completely broken and Lucifer was all "Remember when you were strong and powerful? I can give you that again." Or something...

Yeah, it's gotta be something that appeals to Sam's control freak self.
