And I'm pretty sure I'm very glad my stupid biased against wanting to watch the show in the first place (it replaced Roswell) made me skip it. Holy crap, that is a BAD show. Sorry to any fans out there. But, yeah. Wow. Cheesy. Every sci-fi trope ever done (and not done in an original way) in one season. Honestly, Jensen was the only good thing about the show.

Speaking of, man, Jason got CRAZY at the end of his run. Does anyone know if his character was always supposed to go that way, but they had to speed it up? Or was that just out of nowhere after Jensen got Supernatural?

So, yeah. No more Smallville. Though there may be some icons and other such things as Jason was very hot. We need to get Dean wearing less layers like that. ;-)

Not that I'm an expert or anything, but from what I understand, they did it to write Jason/Jensen out of the show so he could do SPN. However, I did later hear/read something with the showrunner who said that Jason was supposed to be written out of the show exactly as they did it.

IMO I think the showrunner is smoking crack because its pretty freaking obvious they did a rather hack job of changing his (Jason) personality from one day to the next (Nice!guy to wacko!nut!job) and then getting rid of him (death by asteroid? Really?).

OK. I gotcha. It would have been interesting to see how that character arc would have played out if they'd had the full two years to do so. It just seems like we never really got much of an explanation behind the sudden change. Yes, I get the show isn't about Jason. But when you have such a DRASTIC personality change, a little reasoning goes a long way to helping the audience buy it.

LOL! Not that I know of :) What I ended up doing was using my right-arrow key a LOT so I could skim scene to scene until I got to the pretty boy scenes :)
