As Shanks was in it. Can't pass that up. And, apologies to the fans that are on my flist, but, holy crap, that show sucks. I was soooooooo freaking bored. The best part of the episode was the 42 joke Daniel made. I wanted to like this show. I really did. Cos, well, it's STARGATE and the cast looked pretty amazing. But could it be any more of a snooze fest? *yawn*

I keep trying...but yeah...I can't seem to actually like it.

Dude...I laughed hysterically at the 42 joke! Especially because I have an OC in the Stargate universe who makes that joke at times...and is friends with Daniel.

Plus...the scenes with Daniel last night were annoying the hell out of me...with the way they were filmed. I have never liked that "style" of film (the washed out) and don't think it does anything for the idea of the show.

I think I gave up after the fourth episode or so. Air, I think it was called. When I knew what was going to happen 5 minutes in, I'm done. Sorry.

And, yeah, I'm really not a big fan of the filming style. It makes me all queasy and stuff. Just hold the damn camera still so I can see what it's looking at. The washed out, I didn't mind so much as it was a visual reminder/hint that what we were seeing wasn't reality. It's really the jarring camera movements that I have problems with.

I watched the first half of the season, but more for lack of anything else to watch than because I actually liked it.

I have been soooo spoiled by Leverage. I had a rough time watching fight scenes and certain shows before now...but with the way Leverage films...I have even more trouble now. *face palm*

Yeah...I probably won't be watching anymore. Which is a shame because it used to be the best scifi on TV. Just the last year on each of them it felt like the writers were phoning in the scripts.

As for the washed out...I think it was a bit too washed out...if that makes sense. Again--gonna use Leverage (since I'm watching it at the moment), they use it but it doesn't look like they've got a million sunlamps going during the scenes. With the flashbacks on SGU--it was overly faded or washed out...I felt like I needed sunglasses. And it seemed like Michael was squinting a lot.

Mostly like I said...I'm just not impressed.

Yup. I believe the eps are up on Hulu. Not sure how soon, but I'm 99% sure they do pop up not long after it airs of Syphilis SyFy.

No apology necessary, I agree. I've really tried to get into this show, but it's hard. I watched the last one too because of Shanks' appearance.

Plus the part about Rush's wife was kinda depressing.

It was a little TOO depressing. It seems like the writers keep hitting us over the head with everything. Rush's wife has cancer and is dying. Let's show you that 80 MILLION TIMES!! Then you will feel bad and sympathize with him. Well, no, because he apparently (admittedly) acted like a complete ass as she was dying and wasn't there when she needed her. So, sorry, that plot point failed.
