Apparently, our credit card was hacked. Or something. We got a call from the CC company. It seems a very small amount was charged on many cards to this same internet construction company. Luckily, that's the only fraudulent charge. So, the cards are canceled and they're sending new ones. Now we have to go online and fix all the automatic payments and stuff. Fun times....

Speaking from the experience of having this done 3 times in 2 years I can most definitely sympathise...we've had 2 debit and 1 credit card cloned but provided you're with a reputable banking/building society, usually it's sorted out pretty quickly and any money taken reimbursed almost immediately...but it's a horrible thing to happen and sadly in this technological age, far more prevalent with each year...

Thanks. ((HUGS BACK))

It does seem like it's mostly resolved. Just waiting for the new cards and everything. I'm very happy Chase caught it after that one small charge and nothing worse happened.
