I HATE WINDOWS SEVEN!!!

It automatically restarts after installing updates. Which it apparently did last night. Which means I lost all the tabs I had open in Firefox. This is not the first time. This is the dumbest fucking thing ever. sz;ldkjgsdghsgjo

Turn it off.

And have Firefox save your open tabs. It's in the options, general, when firefox starts ->have firefox save my open tabs for next time.

I don't mind that it automatically downloads the updates and stuff. That's fine. Just the restart part of it. ASK ME FIRST stupid computer.

I do not have that option in Firefox. I have the latest version, but there is absolutely nowhere in the options for Firefox to save tabs. Or, I do. OK. But it's really hard to find and not intuitive at all that that field is actually a drop down box. Wow.

OK, that doesn't work. I downloaded, installed, etc. When I went to follow the instructions after that with the "Start - Run" thing, it's not there. It looks like this only works for XP. Awesome.

All Windows versions are set up to do that. There should be a place to turn off the automatic updates, which is what I do. I'll just get the little shield icon telling me that there are updates and I can download when I'm ready. What's annoying is when I'm shutting down and there are updates waiting to be "installed via restart" which means my shutdown could last 5 minutes or 2 hours. You never know with Windows updates.

On my Linux machine there will be an icon to tell me updates are available. Again I can select whenever I want to install them. They also don't require me to restart my computer to take effect. Because my programs were working just fine prior to the updates, they will continue to operate that way. There's no rush in applying updates.

Well I found how to disable the automatic updates and have it ask me now. And I think I finally found where the "save tabs" option thing is in Firefox. SO TOTALLY NOT OBVIOUS THAT IT'S THERE. Dumbass Firefox. z;dlkjgvzxdflu;hylh

Why did I get rid of my REALLY PISSED OFF icons? asdkj;asghaghe

Ditto. I solve my Firefox issue by having Firefox remember my tabs. Haven't figured out how to get Photoshop to stop resetting to all of its default settings when this occurs, though. Very annoying.

didn't firefox save your tabs? It always asks me if I want to resume my old session or start a new one.
