I'm confuzzled....

But, I have not yet seen the newest episodes (The Lodger, I believe, so no spoiling that, please).

Anyway, what I'm confused about: the time rip thing and erasing people.

So, in the Angel two parter, Amy was still able to remember the soldiers who disappeared because, according to The Doctor, she is now a time traveler and views time differently than a normal person. So, why can't she remember Rory? I mean, you'd think she'd be more likely to remember him given their close personal history, if she can remember random strangers she knew for a couple hours.

Is anyone else confused by this? Or is it just me?

That 's a very good question. I wondered about that too.

It's because he was part of her timeline/ personal history before she was a traveler that she can't remember. At least, that's what the doctor said/implied.

Ahhh... I wondered if maybe that was it. But it seems a little counterintuative. Because she knew him for so long, she can't remember him. But random dudes, she does... *shrug* Oh, well.

It's not that they're random dudes vs Rory she's known forever, I think it's once age started traveling with the Doctor she's in a time bubble, and re: the crack, everything that happens after she started traveling she can remember. But since Rory started/was majorily in her own, non Doctor time bubble timeline, she forgot about him.

Ahhh.... OK. I think I gotcha.

have you seen the Amy Choice episode? I think that is part of it as well. She wants to be with doctor traveling while Rory doesn't.

Yeah, that's the ep that has me confused....

it's one of those things that most of the companions do. they get sucked into the doctor's world then kind of don't want to leave.
