Is every J2 story from this year's Big Bang an "AU retelling of BLAH"? Ugh. IMAGINATION PEOPLE. USE IT.

Oh, and we have new cable and internet! :-) Our contract with Comcast was up and they were jacking up our price. And they had no deals to offer us to stay, so we now have AT&T U-Verse. So far, I like it. No noticeable changes in internet speed. Much better response time on the TV when flipping channels. It's now just a matter of getting familiar with the new channels and reprogramming all the DVR stuff. I hope I can remember everything....

I was just bitching with friends earlier today about this! I couldn't agree more. I will allow that a rare writer can make this work but I must stress the RARE. Mostly, it's characters shoehorned into a story, distorted into OOC to make them fit a plot driven by totally different characters.

Established Set-up + Different Characters = Different Choices = Different Plot + Different Outcome

Yes, it is rare. I've read some really good ones, but not that often, really. It's usually the same characterizations of the originals with different names attached. Not the same thing.

I've been afraid to switch because Comcast has the music channel -934- that I listen to constantly, I mean constantly. Does AT&T have a similar set-up music-wise? Not specifically, in general. Just wondering.

According to the channel guide, they do have quite a few music channels. The channel guide is also up on their site if you want to poke around there.
