I never did get net access for free at the Wyndham, unless I was sitting in the lobby. If I wanted to surf in my room, I had to pay for it.

You had to be part of the Wyndham By Request club (it was free) and book your room directly with the hotel. Oh! And use IE to log in.... But, if you did all that, it was free! ;-)
