Back Home!

Back home from the con. For a few hours, at least. :-) It ended up being a good time. David is awesome, as usual. The two photo ops I got a AWESOME! I shall scan and share later. Try to get some stories and pics up, too. I don't have too many pics since I just had my little pocket camera with me.

The hotel is MUCH nicer than the Wyndham was getting. Hotel rooms are nice and spacious. The Q&A hall and dessert/breakfast room are very nice. The photo op room is downstairs, so more out of the way of getting to the rest of the con area. It's a nice set-up they have going.

All in all, good times. :-)

I'm so glad to hear you had a great time! Can't wait to see the photo ops. :)

I'm also glad that hotel is nicer than the Wyndham. What a nightmare my roomies and I had at the 2008 SPN con. Was the lighting okay in the Q&A hall?

Here's hoping they keep this setup for the SPN con.

They did the "theatrical" lighting crap again. Then Erin complained and Adam compromised and turned the lights up for the last 5-10 minutes of each panel. So, it wasn't the best, but it was OK, I guess...

Meh. Hope they won't pull that for SPN. Just trying to get some idea so I know how to adjust my camera, LOL. Either way I'm bringing a telephoto so hopefully I can get decent pics.

I'm glad that Adam at least compromised. *takes notes* :D

Guess that's me finished with Creation Cons...I can't afford to sit in darkness like that for 3/4 days and risk being ill like I was at Vancouver.......if I ever went again I'd go for the day that Michael was there, see his panel, and that's it......I'm not paying out hundreds of dollars and travelling thousands of miles to sit in the dark and get a migraine, because Adam won't listen to sincere and genuine requests for change....



Fuck 'em....I'll wait till Michael comes to the UK and Europe from now on!...

Yeah, this was pretty much my last full on con, too. Having a baby changes priorities just a little bit... LOL And, while I had a good time, I really don't think I got my money's worth for the Gold Pass. I skipped Sunday entirely, sat in the dessert party for about 20 minutes (sorry Dan and Andee, not quite worth the $380).... So, yeah...

I'll probably do a day passes from now on if I go. And it'll probably mainly be just to see whatever friends come into town. LOL

Glad you enjoyed the Westin......we had rooms there last year and found it to be infinitely superior to that craphole that was the Wyndham......I did stay at the Wyndham for the Fri and Sat but Jim refused to as our room was a shit hole.....he and Jon stayed at the Westin while I partied.......at least I was too drunk to notice the smell, the never-working door key and the duct tape over the cracked window under the flight path!!....I hope they've pulled the dump down!.....LOL!!!...

When you stay in the same room for 5 years straight, you definitely notice the crap that's still broken....

It's not torn down, yet. They may be seeing if they can get a buyer to rehab it. Not sure. But it is still standing. For now....
