I love Robert Crais

He's my favorite author, have all his books, etc etc. I'm on the mailing list for his website and they sent out a little blurb exclusive that's a conversation he has with his main character - Elvis Cole, World's Greatest Detective. It's so something I would do, something I totally identify with.
