...are interesting things. You know, those things you do without thinking. Someone sneezes, you say "Bless you" or "Gesundheit." Red light means stop, green light means go, etc. I've been witness to a very quirky one the last couple weeks.
The road right by my house has been under construction. I'm very glad they're doing cos man it needed it. It was awful. Anyway, they're mostly done with everything, except for this one small stretch of maybe 50 yards that straddles a light just down the road. It's still stripped down to the rough, grooved surface prepaving. This road is four lanes, with designated right and left turn lanes at the lights. The temporary dashed white lines that separate the two lanes in one direction has this little bit where it bows out about 10 feet. Not exaggerating. And EVERYONE follows this little bow. The bow itself is maybe three car lengths long and the road actually has a slight incline on the other side of the light and you can see the road continues perfectly straight. Yet EVERYONE follows the little bow for absolutely no reason.
It's so bizarre!
