It could be foreshadowing - breaking of bonds and stuff. I mean, at some point Lisa & Ben are going to be going away. So, Dean would be breaking it off with them. There does seem to be something a little hinky going on with grandpa and the gane, so possibly Sam breaking off from them, too. So, yeah....
